We take privacy seriously — particularly because Synk Soul deals with personal, relationship-oriented information. Our core commitment is simple: your individual quiz answers are never visible to your partner, and we do not sell your data to anyone.

What We Collect
We collect only the information necessary to provide the Service. Here is a clear breakdown:

We do not collect your phone number, date of birth, religion, caste, or any sensitive classification beyond what you voluntarily answer in the quiz itself.

- To deliver the Service: Processing your quiz, computing compatibility scores, generating reports, and making them available in your dashboard
- To process payments: Verifying and recording your transactions

- To improve the platform: Analysing aggregate usage patterns to make Synk Soul better — this data is always anonymised before analysis

We do not use your data for advertising profiling, nor do we allow third-party advertisers to access your personal information.
Your Quiz Answers — A Special Commitment
This is the most important section of this Policy. Your individual quiz answers are never shown to your partner — ever. Only the combined compatibility score and category-level breakdowns (e.g. "Financial Compatibility: 90%") are surfaced in the results report.
Specifically:
- Your partner cannot see how you answered any specific question
- You cannot see how your partner answered any specific question
- No Synk Soul staff member accesses individual answers unless legally compelled to do so
- Answers are stored encrypted and linked only to your session token
This design is intentional. We believe compatibility conversations are most honest when each person answers freely, without fear of their individual responses being exposed. The score is the output — not the raw input.
Sharing & Third Parties
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data. We share data only in the following limited and necessary circumstances:
- Payment processors: To complete your transaction securely. They receive only what is needed for payment processing and are bound by their own privacy obligations.
- Hosting & infrastructure: Our servers are provided by reputable cloud hosting providers. Data is stored and processed on their infrastructure under strict data agreements.
- Analytics services: We use Google Analytics to understand aggregate traffic patterns. This data is anonymised and does not include quiz answers or personally identifiable information beyond standard web analytics.
- Legal authorities: We may disclose data where required by applicable Indian law, court order, or valid governmental request — and only to the extent required.
Any third-party provider we work with is contractually bound to handle your data securely and only for the specific purpose for which it is shared.
Cookies & Analytics
We use the following types of cookies and tracking technologies:
- Strictly necessary cookies: Required for authentication and session management. These cannot be disabled without breaking the Service.
- Analytics cookies (Google Analytics): Help us understand how visitors use the platform — which pages are visited, how long sessions last, and where users drop off. No personally identifiable information is sent to Google Analytics.
You can control cookies through your browser settings. Disabling analytics cookies will not affect your ability to use Synk Soul.
Data Retention
We retain your data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. Specifically:
- Account data: Retained until you request deletion
- Quiz answers and results: Retained for the lifetime of your account so you can revisit your results at any time
- Payment records: Retained for 7 years as required by Indian accounting regulations
- Support communications: Retained for 2 years from the date of the last message
If you request account deletion, we will remove your personal data and quiz answers within 30 days, subject to the legal retention requirements above.
Security
We implement industry-standard measures to protect your data, including:
- All data transmitted between your browser and our servers uses HTTPS/TLS encryption
- Passwords are hashed using a modern, one-way algorithm — we cannot see your password in plain text
- Quiz answers are encrypted at rest
- Access to production systems is restricted to authorised team members only
- Regular security reviews and dependency updates
No system is perfectly impenetrable. In the unlikely event of a data breach that affects your personal information, we will notify affected users within 72 hours of becoming aware and will take immediate remedial action.
Your Rights
As a user of Synk Soul, you have the following rights regarding your personal data:

- Correction: Ask us to correct inaccurate or incomplete data
- Deletion: Request the deletion of your account and associated personal data

Children
Synk Soul is intended exclusively for adults aged 18 and above. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18. If we become aware that a minor has registered an account, we will immediately delete the account and all associated data.
